While I lamented about my outdoor garden coming to an end this season, I am now enjoying the "fruits" of my indoor garden :-)

I've enjoyed fresh wheatgrass the past two days. It's been a while since I've had wheatgrass and even longer since I've had my own. I forgot the punch it delivers as it cascades over my tongue and down my throat. I get someday looks when I tell my coworkers that I start my day out by downing a shot!

Today I will also (hopefully) be enjoying a fresh green sprouted salad. I have sunflower greens and buckwheat lettuce. I also tossed in a little alfalfa and broccoli sprouts. For a crunch I've added sunflower seeds and a few lingering walnuts from the fridge.

I'll dress it with some freshly squeezed line juice and mash in some avocado.

It looks great on paper...lets hope it delivers!

yummo......i'm coming to your house. i've still been enjoying greens from my hoophouse we put up this summer. its been so mild here in WV that i put an extra row cover on them and they are still looking great. actually had sowed some late and they are growing since we've had temps in the 50's and 60's lately. i need to get some seed to do some sprouts soon. i miss that!!

Ah yes, wheatgrass.  First time I had wheatgrass juice, many years ago, I had to drink an ounce in about 10-12 ounces of water and even then I had to sip it slowly.  But it wasn't long before I was downing 4 ounces at a time and loving it.  (I worked for a place that grew wheatgrass and sold the juice).

Your greens and salads sound wonderful!  Enjoy!
