Hi Mike, thanks for the music links, I'll listen to them as soon as I can. I don't really have a garden, but have some fruit trees and just planted an avocado tree (I haven't acquired a taste for them yet, but hope to!). I also planted a few things just this year, cucumbers, tomatoes, red pepper, green beans and zuchini, and I've had an herb garden for years...it's a start! I need to find a good farmers market or stand that sells good organic produce near here, still searching for that. Nice to meet you neighbor (sorta!) Kim
Thanks Theresa, I've been busy lately trying to help my last two kids living at home get out on their own so maybe I can have time to find my place in the sun, a good place to make a stand. I must confess, it is proving more difficult than it was for my older children during the mid 80's. I remember when I was just starting out, I rented a 5 bedroom house on the beach in New Port Beach, California. The rent was $125 a month and after moving in four select roommates, we could literally pick up pop bottles on the beach one day a week to pay the rent.
I think we're finally coming conclusion we need a new economy, one that respects people, nature and this tiny planet we all share.. An economy that includes everyone and guarantees the just distribution of everything so that everyone can live a life of dignity.
Sorry to go off on a tangent but I know you understand my frustration, we know the simple truths of life and live them through our diet of all things nature provides for us with such loving simplicity. No need for war, no need for hunger and suffering or the commercialism that seeks to own the world and everyone in it.... Truth is so simple it is often overlooked, the world would be a very different place if everyone ate fruits and leafy greens ...
