Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Starting a modified juice feast tomorrow! So excited :) The modification is that i will be using SunWarrior protein powder (vanilla flavor) with cinnamon and spinach and/or kale and maybe half of a frozen banana or a bit of pineapple twice to three times per day (to total about 60 grams of protein) since I lift heavy weights nearly daily. I am thinking of doing this feast for 10 days, which would go through Christmas, but I will make that decision on Friday. A friend at work is going to juice feast too, I got her into juicing last week... how cool, she has jumped right on the horse! And the owner of the gym I go to (he's sort of the main coach) is entirely on board with what raw foods mean to me now that I blabbed about all of the amazing benefits last night at a holiday party (I had a few glasses of really good red wine and so I really mean blab- on and on with all the enthusiasm and vigor you can imagine)... he is totally supportive. As someone who likes to see us athletes continue to build muscle/strength, he made it clear that he does not equate building strength with eating meat (he is not a vegetarian).
So, who's feasting right now? My friend Olga and I need you :) Let's get juicy!

Comment by Lin Babkirk on December 20, 2011 at 10:34pm Hi Everyone!
Count me in starting tomorrow. I have juiced for 4 days and one other time juice feasted for 14 days. I felt great. Even though I am totally vegan, since winter hit and I don't have the farmers markets anymore I have not been very good about being high raw.
I have a lovely green smoothie with oranges, bananas and pineapple with coconut water and another jar of juiced pink grapefruits. Lemons are going with me to work for my water also.
Comment by SingleMeditatorMom on December 20, 2011 at 3:21pm I will be starting a juice fast on Thursday, December 22 for 12 days-- hopefully that long. I will attempt to do as much Bikram as I can during this time. I expect to eat some fruit too, as I have to work too. I will check back here in a few days!
