I've been to Curves 9 times now since August 8th & much as it's changing my body, it also seems to be re-wiring my brain & my thinking about exercise!
~ It's making me WANT to stay raw & also want to stay ACTIVE...not just when working out, but I can feel myself gaining strength, flexibility, muscle, energy & wanting to do all I can to improve daily.
~ I find myself wanting to go work out even when I don't feel at all up to it (in the past, I just wouldn't do anything, listening to my pain instead finding my willingness to gently push through & 'do it anyway'...) It's helping me learn to pay better attention to my body's needs, to what I'm hungry for or needing, & most of all, to how hard I can push it without overdoing it...I've always struggled with this, due to fibromyalgia, but am finally figuring it out ~
~ I'm sleeping better! (I've struggled for quite awhile with partial insomnia, waking up after 3 or 4 hours, having a hard time getting back to sleep, or waking 3 or 4 times a night, taking a long time to get back to sleep...) I'm waking ONCE & going right back to sleep...not kept awake by pain, or anything!
...& as I've been getting back to very high raw again, I've FINALLY begun using my food processor daily! For some weird reason, I was afraid of it, but my best friend came over & made some yummy stuff, pushing me past that weird electronic intimidation, & now every day it's SO MUCH EASIER to stay raw! I'm making gorgeous salads that take maybe 15 minutes to make one with LOTS of ingredients, instead of an hour of chopping! My carpal tunnel is even getting better!!!
Soooo....one change at a time, not letting myself push too hard, but learning to push a little harder than I think I can, & things are beginning to change...to improve...to open up for rawstration, healing & many new possibilities I'm beginning to get a vision of..."I think I can, I think I can!"
One change leads to another...one day at a time...
...diet, quality sleep, exercise are all pieces of the puzzle...
...the picture's growing clearer ever day, every time I do something beneficial for my health!
Get ready....
September is going to be an awesome month!

I have similar situation and "listening to my pain" really tweaked me to what I have been doing, letting that set my direction instead of listening to the part of me that does want to move and knows what is the best.
