Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Hi Everyone,
I don't own a scale and have been mainly focused on my health goals, so I haven't had much to mention in regard to weight loss. However, today at the gym, I got a little curious about my weight loss so far, since I can feel and see that I am certainly slimming down. It turns out that, as of today, I am 27 pounds lighter than my highest weight! It is possible that when I started my juice feast, I was not at the highest. I may have been about 5 pounds lighter than that. Which is to say that in the past month, I have lost at least 20 pounds, if not more. :)
I have tended to experience some challenges with weight loss, one of the more difficult points being when I attended Hippocrates Health Institute for 3 weeks and only lost 1 pound while I was there. Yes, ONE pound! I will admit, I was upset by that and definitely cried over it. Even in the midst of concern for my health, I still felt upset and frustrated by my weight.
I also want to mention the weight loss because it has been a few weeks since I went off my juice feast, and my fears that I would immediately gain a lot of weight, or have binge eating issues, have proven unfounded. I think that the transition plan played a HUGE role in that. Taking 5 days to get back to "normal" eating made a world of difference.
I am still going strong! My boyfriend and I have a playful weight loss contest going, and I am winning so far! Stay tuned to see if he catches up. :)
Love,
Emily
