Also May I say Turmeric?  I may have already posted about this amazing spice and if so, I apologize! but I am in LOVE!

It is AMAZING!! I started having asthma again - even having to take a couple treatments of albuterol.  So I had a huge jar ( super cheap- like $10) of turmeric and since it is valued as a anti inflammatory, took a couple spoons of it in honey and apple juice.  I did that several times a day, and it worked to get rid of the asthma as well as to get rid of the aches and pains I had been feeling in a general way for several months.  I had been having the phrase' "degenerative arthritis" going through my brain on a daily basis.  Come to find out, all I needed was a couple weeks of daily turmeric doses to totally get rid of the aches.  I feel like a new person!  They use turmeric for cooking but to me, it tastes really bad- but combined with honey and apple juice, not too bad!  I have also seen a recipe for turmeric and coconut milk.

My chiropractor put me on turmeric a few years ago to help with pain after I was in a car accident. Let me tell you what, turmeric worked so well for me, and is still helping me where prescription meds could not help me.. I am so thankful for turmeric....a life changer for me!

Hi everyone. I'm new (today) and am reading through posts to familiarize myself with everyone and everything. This feels like a diverse group of kind and friendly members.

Jan, I've been following Turmeric Users Group on FB for awhile now, too. Yay for their turmeric paste recipe with coconut milk! I'm also following some of the fermentation groups and kombucha and jun groups as well (jun being the champagne of kombuchas). I'm excited to be getting a jun scoby next week so I can try my hand at making it. I make my own kombucha and sauerkraut.

Interesting!  I did not know that- It seemed to work ok without the oil but I will definitely try that recipe and also join  the group.  The results I got were really miraculous!   I was very upset having breathing problems . Thanks so much for responding!

Hi Deborah,

I'm so happy for you that the turmeric has been helping you!  There is a wonderful group on Facebook called "Turmeric Users Group" that talks about the wonders of Golden Paste.  Yes, it is made with coconut oil, turmeric, and freshly ground black pepper.  For those who don't experience any lessening of symptoms with the turmeric by itself, it's apparently because turmeric is fat soluble and needs to be accompanied by certain fats.  The fat (i.e. coconut oil) acts as a carrier for the turmeric to enter the cell membrane.  It is only then that the turmeric can perform its magic.  An associated website is:  turmericlife.com.au  Just thought I would share!  jan
