Transition Week Done - Juice Fast Begun

I had great success with my transition week into raw foods!  I never expected to lose as much weight as I did.  I have lost 8.4 pounds as of this morning.  It found it very easy to eat raw foods and I really loved everything I ate.  I kept it simple.  Nothing complicated.

Changes: My blood pressure readings are gradually getting better.  I did feel pretty bad on day 3.  I had louder than usual  ringing in my ears, a funny taste in my mouth, and I felt sleepy and mildly nauseous all day.  The next day I felt much better.  I noticed toward the end of the week having more energy and my hunger had subsided quite a bit.  I felt like I was in control, not the hunger.  I liked that very much.  Also, I have been walking a little every day (not the norm), usually only 30 minutes or less.  I am sure I should add some resistance exercise or weights as not to lose muscle mass.  One of the best things to happen was my husband said I am in a better mood. Ha!  I felt so good last Friday that I had my shoulder-length hair style of 10 years cut into a short cut!

This week: I started my juice fast today.  I bought a juicer yesterday so I could start today. This morning I made a simple apple, carrot, celery juice.  It was very good.  This afternoon I made green juice with kale, apple, cucumber celery, lemon, carrots.  I was pleasantly surprised.  It was really good!  I cut it with some water after reading that it can make you feel a little sick until you get used to it, but I did not dilute it because of the taste.  I have to say though, right now I am soooo hungry!  However, I am resolved to power through it.  I am sure it will pass.

Have a great week!
