I was recently told that I should chew my drinks instead of swallowing them but they could not explain why only that its better. Does anyone know what is the difference and is it better?

I know just a little. When you chew your food, it activates your brain for your mouth to secret enzymes in your salivary glands to help your food begin to break down and begin digesting before you swallow your food. If you don't chew your food, this can not happen. Your tummy needs that extra help to begin breaking your food down because your tummy can not chew your food. That's all I know, hope it is helpful.
