Before we started our 11 week journey together I spent a wonderful week at TheLifeCo retreat in Bodrum, Turkey, on a juice fast and lost at least nine pounds. Having weighed into the Weight Room this morning I have actually gained back one of those nine pounds in the last two weeks. But it's all good and part of a longer term strategy for greater health and happiness. Okay, and I feel thinner (which definitely helps).
I've been eating a diet of quite dense raw foods (let's call it transitional) during these last two weeks. Lots of delicious dehydrated foods, nuts and dried fruit, raw cookies, etc. Yum. This coming week I'm happy for there to be more of the same but I'm introducing a commitment to green smoothies and fruit before 12.
I'm also back at Bikram Hot Yoga and aiming to go every other day. So far I've done two classes and I ♥ love ♥ the way they make me feel afterwards. It's a wonderful way to deal with the stresses of the working day and ensure a great night's rest.
Finally, since Penni introduced us to her 20 TIPS FOR A POSITIVE 2011 by Jon Gordon (with a Penni touch) I've been reading John Gordon's inspiring book The No Complaining Rule. It's already given me so many great ideas for work and at home: today I've started a no complaining fast.
I'm looking forward to seeing what impact these three additions have on my life this week.
