Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

I love my babies but I’m so happy that school started today. Grandma (me) doesn’t know how to say no so my eating hasn’t been the best. I do have at least 2 raw meals a day with at least one of then liquid. I have started preparing the gardens for fall planting. I have saves all the containers from my organic spinach n herb mix and will use then as seed starters. My wheatgrass is also ready today. Woo Hoo. Life is good.

Kelly, Good luck with your garden. It's a great way of staying connected with the earth.

Kathy, Like Kelly said, we do beller in the fall than the spring planting.

Gill, You don't need confidence to grow your own food. Just the desire. It's great exercise.

Thanks Heather, I am looking forward to doing what I want, when I want. I took a nap today ;o)

Linda, You go girl. I love gardening n sprouting. Wheargrass is very east to grow. Try it!

Kathleen, sounds like you guys in Florida have a similar season as we do in Arizona.  It's too hot here for many things to survive in the summer so main growing periods are the rest of the year.  I look forward to trying my hand at some gardening this fall as well.  Good luck!

a fall garden? Never thought about doing that.... sounds like a fun idea, I suppose you have to plant your own seeds

Kathleen, I know what you mean about the grandkids! And I too am planning to plant greens in my fall garden. I have mustard, turnips and spinach ready to go in and have ordered some kale, mache, and arugula. I have grown kale before, but not mache or argula. Thought I'd try it. All of this will be good in juices or smoothies. I've never tried growing wheatgrass...is it hard to do?
