Real Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

As many of you know I'm a private person and blog very infrequently, but maybe this will resonate with you.  Instead of losing weight on this initiative I seemed to be spiraling up, until I started the February cleanse.  Now it's at least headed in the right direction and knowing I'm going to a Super Bowl Party today, I decided to review why I started all this.  Yes weight loss is up there, wellness also, and to stay healthy all were my primary reasons.  But the subtle things have started to replace those lofty goals.  Like having a supporting community, not feeling bloated after heavy meals, and waking up rested even with 3 trips to the john, having more energy and the big one, actually enjoying preparing the food that will help me achieve all my goals.   I know now, the big things will fall in place as long as the little things are present, that implies that I am actually working the plan.

Today I looked forward to enjoying the game with a big salad, where the lettuce and greens came from my unheated greenhouse and the dressings come from Raw Food CLeanse (thanks, Penni), and the juice comes in a quart jar.   I'll juice more tomorrow ;-)

I've dedicated my cleanse to a friend who has pancreatic cancer and Jack LaLanne who showed everyone you can truly LIVE to 95!

Completely echoing the sentiment that you are a winner! Thank you so much for sharing this. I will give some thought to dedicating my practice to someone. That is a very beautiful idea. Enjoy your healthy cuisine -- you'll be one of the few feeling great before bed and bright & early in the morning!

I have a few lettuce leaves in our unheated greenhouse.  I think I am hoarding them for an emergency or something.

Thank you for this post.  I love the idea of dedicating this cleanse to others.  And I especially love the way you have expressed yourself and the review of WHY to do this, and all the really "little things" that make a huge difference to life.  Enjoy your salad with great gust todayo, and I will think of you enjoying yourself.  This type of sharing is very encouraging and supportive!

I watched those videos and they are probably coming though on this blog---sometimes it takes a long time to sink in doesn't it?

Les Brown has some good thoughts on this...

If You Know Your WHY, then Your HOW is Easy!

Very true Kathy, thanks.  Great idea, Heather/Mallory I'll use your "Super Bowl" quote today as I munch on it.

I am happy for your excitement. Great post. I was reminded of a saying in a little book I have when you were talking about the "little things." I believe this is probably true!

Chris, I know that you are going to enjoy that game so much more knowing that you are creating a SUPER-YOU.  That bowl of salad is the REAL Superbowl!  Have a wonderful time and I hope you team wins, but either way, you are already a winner!
