Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Tomorrow it's real. I'll start my Raw Ramadan. Which means that I'll fast from sun up to sun down, which is quite a long time this time of year. One month of no food, no drink during those hours. I'm planning to eat mainly raw food. Some ingredients that I use aren't raw, so I'll be probably 95% till 100% raw vegan:) I'll make a food plan for every day, and cross off what I'm eating. I used to write down what I would eat, but planning ahead and crossing it off works better for me now.

I'm into raw foods for over 15 months now, and lost a lot of weight, but I haven't been consistent. So I'm taking this opportunity (ramadan) to reprioritize and cleanse. I've eaten a lot of raw foods during my 6 week summer vacation in the Netherlands & Turkey, but I also included too much cooked and not so healthy foods. I enjoyed every bite, but after indulging quite a lot, you do get sick of it, and want to go back to more raw goodness. I kept exercising almost daily, and even ran my 1st half marathon, and also ran a 25K. So, I'm still on the right track:) Wish me luck;)

I hear ya and wish you the best! I have always exercised but my issue always ended up being the food! Whenever I fall down....I get very sick and congested the next day and you would think that would be incentive enough but somehow, I always have to dope slap myself into reality....Thank the Lord that I continue to exercise consistently and now I am juicing/doing smoothies and feeling great. My goal is to continue to belt out 10K's at least 5 days week and keep biking as many miles as I can fit in my workout for any given day depending on my schedule.....as long as I feel energetic enough to do it!!!! Today was amazing and I hope this feeling continues! If you ever need support or a shoulder, feel free to holler at me! Good luck!
