Real Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

Hi everybody,

As promised, I'm reporting back about the great time I had at the Raw Health Expo!

John Kohler puts this together (third annual)

it was my first time attending. It was so much fun to meet folks in person that I've gotten to know from websites and videos.

Abeba (krazykrackerlady) presented a demo to a spill over crowd.

John Kohler was engaging and informative (as he is on YouTube but even more so) and I learned new tricks about sprouting.

I bought a Cai-bow from Minh and she showed me how to use it!

There were so many workshops, and booths, demos, samples and lovely raw food for purchase for lunch - I had brought my own and didn't feel at all weird slurping my green smoothie in public (for once).

I went just the one day (Saturday) of the two day event - it was very well attended (this is Northern California so raw is a little more accepted and celebrated here than in other parts of the world) and the whole vibe was happy and lively!

Just want to send some good raw energy your way wherever you are today - blessings abound!

oh cool, Cheryl - I'll go check out your FB page

and Angela - you can find info on the Cai Bao implement on Ronnie & Minh's site which is called  ubraw dot com

she imports these from Viet Nam - they last forever with no need to sharpen - do the same job as a peeler and a mandolin - yet a lovely human/crafted feel to them - she has a short video on the home page of website that shows how she holds it and uses for wide slices and also julienne. It takes a little patience to get the right grip etc. but I like it and it was fun to get this from her in person.

That sounds like all sorts of awesome. Good for you, Janet! Glad to hear there was a good turnout, too.

I'm so jealous!  I recently discovered John and his You Tube videos and demos and just love his style.  I like the way he presents the facts and lets you decide for yourself.
