Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

A dear friend of mine has been visiting from out of state - she moved away several years ago - our visits are rare and joyous when we get together.

One of the things that I deeply treasure about her is that she has been dedicated to conscious food for many years and was mostly a raw foodist way before I stepped onto this path. So now when we get together it is

full-on raw food festivities!

She arrived with a cooler stocked with greens and veggies, and along with what I already had in the fridge we had a bounty of options. It was so much fun to create meals and share the enjoyment - the BLISS actually - of receiving the nourishment of the food, our friendship, and the celebration of beauty that this way of life is for us.

we learn from each other,  share generously, laugh easily and appreciate fully. It is as if we inhabit a different dimension of life, and live at another frequency only understood by those who share this path.  I guess it would be like living in a foreign country and having the joy of visiting with a friend from your homeland.  I have other wonderful friends in my life, but no one else who quite 'gets it' like this one does. and look who showed up  in the veggies - this little smiley face was in the radish when I sliced it!! wink from the Universe.    I am so grateful for all of you - enjoy the journey!

Oh wow! I was thinking the spirals were radishes. That sounds so good!

I've done a lot of struggling with eating right, but I'm finally realizing that not only does being unhealthy affect one's overall condition, it's also expensive in many ways. Of course, the biggest expense is on our bodies.

hi Kathleen, yes it was so delightful and it's been sad to say goodbye for now - until the next visit. I am surely inspired to share this same level of JOY and celebration with others on this path - so glad we have RFR!!

The salad on the right - loads of green lettuce, topped with sunflower sprouts, avocado, orange bell pepper, yellow cherry tomatoes, cucumber, sprinkles of pumpkin seeds and 'ribbons' of beet root (ribbons were made in the spiralizer) all on a bed of romaine - quite a feast in a salad bowl!!

IT's so great that you have had your friend visiting and been able to share the joys of raw food! What is in the salad in the photo, second on the right?  It looks so good!
