We're on holiday on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. We're having an unscheduled extra day because the ferrires were cancelled in the high winds. Local food at this time of year is potatoes, neeps, eggs, lamb & chicken, and of course whisky. Thanks to the dubious magic of supermarkets and global chill chains I've been able to make green smoothies every day and eat salads. Didn't bring a sprouting jar, which was a shame, but overall not a bad effort. The friends we're staying with think I'm completely mad.
