Raw Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

As the year is about to renew on our Western calendar, changing the way we perceive and speak about our world may be one way we can make a difference for the better.

Is it possible that we can change the world just by changing the way we use words?

Can we create more harmony by using more gentle and harmonious words and using them consciously and more often?

Can we disempower words that disempower people by not using them and finding better, more constructive options.

Every word has a real meaning and euphemisms or soft options aren't helpful  in the same way that negativity and judgement aren't helpful.

Name calling and discriminatory labelling is divisive and disconnecting and needs to change. It doesn't matter where it happens across the planet it has the same destructive effect.

So perhaps a New year's resolution might be -to use words as healing and connecting tools as we strive to conserve, restore and sustain our hurting world and planet.

Positive, empowering, genuine words spoken with care and compassion can be life changing.

Blessings to you and yours in 2013

Lovely to hear from you all. I have heard this quote before too and find it powerful. We need to keep reminding ourselves, as Susan also helps us to do, that we are indeed powerful and can really make a difference in our own lives and wider afield.

just this morning, typed similarly themed idea in my FB timeline:

“The thought manifests as the word;
The word manifests as the deed;
The deed develops into habit;
And habit hardens into character.
So watch the thought and its way with care,
And let it spring from love
Born out of concern for all beings”. The Buddha

thanks for sharing and the best to you and yours in 2013.

this is a beautiful and powerful contribution, Maureen. Our language literally shapes our consciousness and our experience.
