Now For The Lighter Side of Life....Grocery Shopping with Elliott (personal video)

Originally posted November 2009

Sometimes our life feels like a circus!
Soo busy....all three rings have acts going on...
...too much to take in all at once!
Make it your priority to focus on YOURSELF...you are the MAIN ACT...

This day has been full already and it is not even noon yet...
Was up early as usual and of course, Mr. Elliott is too...
We raked leaves and then left at 6:45am to go grocery shopping...
The following video is from our grocery shopping trip!

Here's what my fridge looked like when I put it all away! : )

Handling a camera and a special needs child is very challenging,
so I apologize for the quality of the video! I am good with the camera
when I am NOT chasing Elliott! Really! : )

In the video below is the music
I had playing in my head during my shopping trip!!

Those of you out there who do NOT have all the challenges I have to make a video, please take a few minutes and make a video....take us to your grocery store...show us your carts!! I showed you mine! GRINS!!!!

Sometimes LIFE is soo busy and running at break-neck speed....
The music in the following video sometimes SOUNDS like my life!! Can you relate?

It feels like we are spinning plates ...

WE NEED TO REMEMBER:

WE DO NOT HAVE TO ALWAYS KEEP ALL THE PLATES SPINNING!
How many plates we have have spinning is our choice!
Let some of them fall if you must, so that you can focus on YOU..
....the world will not come to an end if you don't do everything!

Great video, Susan! You are so good with Elliott, he's such a happy guy and a pretty good helper, too! :) Thanks for showing us your fridge, good job getting all that in there. Happy Green Smoothie! <3

I absolutely loved shopping with you and Elliott. Love his excitement over LOTS of strawberries and other goodies. You make shopping an adventure and he is such a great helper. Thanks for reposting this...it made me smile as I juggle life and know it is an adventure with you and Elliott <3

I sure could go for some of the yellow squash.  My seeds didn't grow this year.  I guess I will have to wait until next year.

Hi Susan, It makes me smile that they didn't have sundried tomatoes in such a HUGE supermarket.  Coincidentally, I recently went looking for sundried tomatoes in a little, local ASDA, which is what they call Walmart here in England.  Guess what?  To my utter amazement they actually had three different varieties in various packets and jars!  Lucky day :-)

Elliott's a big help eh? ;-)

3 Simple Rules in Life:
1. If you do not GO after what you want, you'll never have it.
2. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be no.
3. If you do not STEP FORWARD, you will always be in the same place!

I just love it Susan. I know that I have personally shared shopping experiences with you and Mr. Elliot but it was so cute watching him on video. He is a handsom little boy and and you are an awesome mom :)

wowee!!! What did everything cost?

Do you have a dehydrator? If you have time, you could dehydrate some tomatoes and freeze them for future use (I say freeze because that fridge is bustin' at the seams like ours :)

You are amazingly patient, and Elliot obviously adores helping you out :) Children keep us on our toes, and sometimes even running ;)... it's always fun to see how much they love helping.

Terri, I make up 3 Vitamix fulls of Green Smoothie at a time. It varies how much it lasts...Elliott and I are the only ones who drink GS. Elliott drinks at least 1 to 1 1/2 Vitamix full a day!

I vary my Green Smoothie greens...

Awesome videos!! I'd video my stuff if I had a recorder . I will take photos though...Please "overlook" those "non-raw" items my hubby requires (for now)...My fridge is small - so we moved the old fridge into the garage for backup.

Elliot is amazing and I love his name! You are also amazing!! God bless you all!!

Question - exactly how many are in your family who eat raw? How long will your smoothie stay fresh in the fridge? Do you just drink on it all day long? I only make one glass full each time... How can I do better and get more greens. Also - do you always use Romaine for your smoothies or do you switch around?

Thank you so much for the videos! You two are adorable!! Big Hugs!!
