Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

It's been a long while since I last posted a blog on here. Just thought I needed to get my thoughts written down somewhere and I love RFR, so here I am!

Well, I just finished a 10-day Master Cleanse (Thursday was my last day) and I'm feeling refreshed.
I'll be juicing for 2 days (Friday & Saturday) and then I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. I wanted to juice for at least 5 days, but I'm ready to munch on something. I'm thinking I will try to be completely raw for at least 30 days.  We'll see.

So now that it is a New Year and I've completed the Master Cleanse, what are my goals?

1-I would love to teach Raw Food Classes.

2-I want to one day become a Raw Dessert Chef.

3-Find a new job.

4-Be happy with my life just the way it is. Work hard to make things better.

What am I doing to accomplish my goals?

1- Teach classes: Study and practice so I can gain the confidence I need to teach classes.  I have people asking me about teaching them classes all the time, but I'm a little hesitant...scared that I won't know enough or won't do a good job. Okay, so I need to Get Over It Already! Yeah, I know. :)

2-Raw Dessert Chef: I'm seriously thinking about ordering Russell James' Raw Dessert Home Study Course. Has anyone purchased it?  Any thoughts on the course?  I would love the other course, too, but the dessert one seems more appealing to me at this time since my ultimate goal is to specialize in making desserts.

3-New job: I'm looking.

4-Happiness: Make up my mind to Just Be Happy!!!! It's all about staying positive and thinking happy thoughts, right?

To help me reach my goals, I requested & received  a new dehydrator for Christmas. I now get to try out the fabulous Cauliflower Popcorn. :-) I can't wait!  I'm hoping the dehydrator will help me stay more raw as well as help me to reach Goals 1 & 2.  Who knows, it may even help me reach Goal #3.  I would love to work at a Raw Food restaurant. There is a very small vegetarian restaurant down the street from my house. Maybe I should go in there and introduce myself and see if they would be interested in adding some raw dishes to the menu...Hey, that could be my new job! :)
I also got some tart pans, cake pans and lots of ingredients (nuts, cacao, etc.) for Christmas. I bought these as a gift to myself because I already knew that I wanted to start creating more raw dishes in the kitchen.

I'm so excited about being in a new year and getting a fresh start!
Now all I need to do is de-clutter my life.  Guess I'll be spending the rest of the weekend cleaning up, throwing things out and getting things packed up to donate.  Then maybe I can focus and come out the gate with a strong start on Monday.
Wish me luck!  Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely keep everyone posted on my progress.
This is actually the 1st time (in a long time) I've written out my goals and I don't feel intimidated by them.
I know I want to accomplish a lot, but I've made up my mind that my goals are attainable...so I'm going for it!
