Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Hello Healthy people! As a newbie to Raw Food Rehab I seek advice regarding Juicer/Extractors. On Amazon the prices and features are all over the board, very confusing. In addition to fruits, I want to juice spinach, cabbage, carrots, garlic and other veggies that require a particular type of juicer. I look forward to suggestions from you raw food veterans! Thank you.

Comment by Judith Jacqui James on September 28, 2012 at 8:52pm Hi Lauren! John Koller does some excellent reviews on You Tube that should help you to decide which one to get, as you also want to juice leafy greens, i think the one to get should be the Omega VRT350, you should be able to get it on Amazon or Discount Juicers if you are in The US. John Koller has programs in one of the rooms in the Hab, can't remember which one, just look around, but you will definitely find him on You Tube and Discount Juicers.com

Comment by nathalie carles on September 25, 2012 at 9:44pm I use a Breville juicer, it is the cheap of the good ones and juices greens too. I really like it, easy to clean (which for me is very important) and very fast!!!!
I used to have a Champion (it belongs to my boy friend in fact) and I don't like it at all, too slow, complicated to clean and doesn't juice greens and terribly expensive.
Comment by DedeGirl on September 25, 2012 at 8:02pm I bought a Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer and am very very happy with it! Not super duper complicated to clean either and is on amazon for about $70. works better than my Jack LaLanne did.
Comment by Penni on September 25, 2012 at 12:02pm I also want to add that we have a special area created here at RFR that deals specifically with raw food related equipment - Check out the Tool Shed for lots of additional help!
Comment by Patricia Jo Webb on September 25, 2012 at 11:59am Hi! Lauren, The lady that I've worked with for many years (who keeps me healthy in a totally natural way) recommends the Omega 02 juicer. It is a reasonable price and has parts that are not going to leech bad stuff into your juice. On Amazon it is somewhere around $100. Hope this helps.
I have the Breville juicer, same one used in "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" movie which was awesome by the way. I love it but must confess I don't use it anywhere near often enough. I'm not sure I'd have to check but I think I must have the "fountain" one b/c I only paid about $150-$200 for it, I see that some are way more expensive. I love it b/c it's so so easy to clean and fast to use. I need good recipes for using the pulp tho.
