Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Ok, I planted these the 1st of February but I did it in an area that stays just above freezing so it didn't grow too fast.

Promptly juiced an ounce (around noon) and drank it like a shot of tequila. Whew, that is one strong shot of health. I may dilute the next shot down a bit :- )

I'm open to ideas on how best to add this to my regime. I have no health issues except weight and eyesight. I only want to add more greens to my raw journey, and I would love to have my body repair my eyesight. The wheatgrass juicer I have, I had to run the wheatgrass through 3 or 4 times to squeeze out every little drop.

I have Ann Wigmore's The Wheatgrass Book and Steve Meyerowitz, Nature's Finest Medicine but I admit I haven't read the second one yet.

I too freeze my wheatgrass in ice cube trays and add on cube to my morning smoothie or juice. I love the taste so I can take it straight. The taste grows on you! Your tray looks great!

I liked the wheatgrass. My husband didn't like it much, and complained the whole time it went down, lol....I do need to get a book though, and learn more about it.

So can you freeze wheat grass juice and still retain the nutrients? For how long can wheat grass remain frozen?

Hi Chris.... Isn't it fun to grow things? I too am growing a lovely batch of wheat grass and what a friend of mine and I did is juice it and dilute it (cause..... well I think ya know why!) and we put it into ice cube trays and then the bags that take the air out. I then pop a cube into my smoothies now and then. That is some potent stuff!! My whole refrigerator smelled like wheatgrass until I put it into the air tight bags. This is just an idea for you. I am almost ready to harvest my second batch. I don't know about you but I am truely amazed at all the living food choices there are to add to our day. I absolutely LOVE my raw dill dip for example. Well, enjoy your wheatgrass and I will be watching to see the comments you have coming in. There is soooooo much to learn.
