Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Started the day with a yummy smoothie:  OJ, rasps, banana, Green Matcha powder and a tsp of cinnamon (to counteract all of the fruit sugar).

Then did some Sadie Nardini Youtube yoga.

Lunch is a very pleasant Winter Wonderland fennel and apple salad which I'm eating with one hand as I type with the other! (It's a Judita Wignall recipe, the picture below is from Blisstree. My salad doesn't look quite so pretty! Love the grey plate - must try and find something similar).

Winterland Salad

Will go for a long rainy walk later, and dinner tonight will be a Meredith Baird recipe (thanks Penni for the link to the book a little while ago. Bought it and it's great). I might make the curried spinach dip, which looks delicious.

Must drink more water today. Definitely not drinking enough. If anyone has any ideas how to make it easier and more palatable to down pints, I'd be most grateful. Not a big fan of plain water.

Hi Janet again,

So sorry I misunderstood.  You probably bought the fenugreek powder at the spice stand.  That would be great to find a selection like that in my area.

Hi Janet Carol Ryan,

Do you make your own fenugreek powder or is this something you have purchased?  I just love the jicama idea!!

omigosh, I want to jump on over to your world! but then again I have had an awesome rawsome morning so far!

went to the most wonderful Farmer's Market in my area - the very best of organic everything including micro-greens and wild foraged greens and everything you can imagine. I always feel so energized and inspired by my market visits. Today I explored some new (to me) spices at a lovely stand that specializes in herbs and spices. Later I will make jicama sticks with chipotle and fenugreek powder sprinkled onto the olive oil and lemon juice soaked jicama. wowza!
