Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
I feel yucky. I ate processed foods last night. I completely regret it and now my body is reminding me of my poor choices. My stomach doesn’t feel good. I’m having bathroom troubles. Ugh. Why did I make that stupid stupid decision? I don’t even remember what the food tasted like. It was gone in an instant. Why did I pick something so fatty and dense? I feel like I’m going to be sick…
I’ve been drinking tea to settle my stomach. I made a green smoothie this morning of 1 fresh banana, 1C frozen strawberries, ½ frozen mango, 6 leaves kale, ¼ tsp spirulina, 2x ¾C water. Its REALLY green tasting. Like liquid leaves. Lol
I know I shouldn’t beat myself up too much. I know I need to just move on and make the next bite raw. I know. I just feel really yucky right now.

Comment by Michelle T. on December 6, 2011 at 7:58am Thanks Rachel. I had eaten some spicy peanuts, a cliff bar, and two granola bars. :/
And then I ate cooked food again last night (but with lots of fresh veggies on the side).
I'm starting again today with a week long liquids only cleanse. I think if I "announce" it, I'll be more likely to stick to it. I didn't announce it yesterday and I ended up falling off the wagon at 9:30pm at night. I should have just went to bed... ugh. It's crazy how I know what's good for me, but I ignore it and do the wrong thing. How do we master not doing that?
Thanks Mae. Made another liquid leaves smoothies this morning. It was so emerald green looking!
Thanks Susan! <3
Comment by Rachel Rose M on December 5, 2011 at 4:46pm Hi Michelle, I often have the EXACT same problem as you, mainly when I go to eat with others, which I don't do too often... but yes, do the tea/green smoothie/repent for your sins thing. THIS TOO SHALL PASS. You are one 'leaf' of wisdom closer to your true inner beauty. What did you eat anyway? I am only curious because there are tons of raw foodies that have an occasional cooked meal, of whole foods ie quinoa or lightly steamed veggies, and do just fine. So, you can definitely still do a cooked meal every so often, but planning it ahead will be the trick!!
Comment by Mae Jardine on December 5, 2011 at 3:27pm Wow, Michelle, "Liquid Leaves." That is a perfectly lovely description for a smoothie made with leafy greens like kale, spinach, parsley, cilantro, etc! I want to start using this phrase the next time I see family members that have just begun to dabble in green smoothies. I will say, "Have you had your liquid leaves today?" Thanks for the inspiration and I hope you feel better soon. That smoothie you made will be a good start : )
You got that right: I know I shouldn’t beat myself up too much. I know I need to just move on and make the next bite raw. I know.
