Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Salutations and felicitations to you all! ;)

It has been a long while since I posted my video committing to the raw food lifestyle 100% for a month. Let's just say, it's been a trying, but exhilarating month for me. March is the month that I was able to help Dad fulfill his dream of owning a home again (after 19 years) and in turn, he is fulfilling my dream of settling down roots in a family home. There is so much more to the story of this life and how God has so completely honored and blessed a little girl's prayers for the past 30+ years  in so many, many areas. But I digress....

In the process of going into contract for this house, I was put on a super sonic moving path that has sapped my energy and mental focus. The entire month of March, I have NOT been raw at all! The process of going backwards in my health and energy has been so profoundly fast and furious, that it was difficult to catch my breath during the emotional spiral up and the downward spiral in my health. There were moments when I did catch a salad or had extra veggies on my entrees of choice; and those times I swear I could almost feel my cells doing a happy dance singing "for joy, for joy". Now that things are coming to a close for the house, things won't be slowing down much, but at least I can start making plans in decorating, which is one of my passions. Amazing how timing works though....because just as Dad and I are coming into the next phase of our house adventure, dear Penni swoops in with the Go Fresh! campaign and I'm ready! Perfect timing, perfect campaign.  Here, in my blog, I will share a little more  detail of how I'm doing with regard to my symptoms and any detox (will keep it clean and stomach worthy...LOL). So here we go:

  • Morning blood sugar 119-179 (I am not diabetic, but it runs in my family)
  • Edema in entire body, but most pronounced in face, hands and feet
  • Dizzy spells off and on through out the day
  • Bouts of extreme thirst about 1x or 2x a week (probably related to my blood sugar levels)
  • Joint pain in hips, shoulders and lower back
  • Heavy legs: feels like I have weights on my legs while walking
  • Irritability
  • Mental fatigue from trying to remember and focus on priorities
  • Physical fatigue from running around and pain in joints
  • Need to take 2-3 hour afternoon naps again
  • Dulled "verve" for life in general
  • A little depression and panic sprinkled in here and there through out a given week
  • Sporatic release for monthly
  • Digestion is good, but not great like it is when 50% or more raw

Okay, so there you have it. I am looking forward to changing this list to healed, healed, healed....!

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and documention. I look forward to the next 11 weeks and the transformation that comes with the committment to Go Fresh!

Have a blessed day!

So great that the stress of the 'house buy' is over!  You did what you had to to get through it, and now!  time to feel better!  I feel better already for you!  Looking forward to hearing about your progress...
