Little Victories, Bright Blessings

Today I was in a local shopping mall - the really big ticket, seductive kind of place I don't usually frequent, but seriously kids I needed some new undergarments since my body is morphing. So,

here I was amongst the bright lights, blaring music and ahem... tantalizing scents emanating from the food court. part of me was all like...it's ok, get a little treat you've been good, it's ok to have cooked food, what's the big deal anyway...... and another part was tuning into RFR wisdom... 'put on the blinders' you can make it past this gauntlet just do your errand and go home.

Then I needed the loo and wouldn't you know, had to walk past the sizzling, scintillating sights and sounds as well as the savory scents...oh no. What did our heroine do? She put on her blinders and her portable sensory deprivation gear (not really but you get it) and went straight past all that junk. All the while I was remembering the wonderful raw creations that were awaiting me at home, because Grasshopper has trained well here in the rehab unit and I always have something yummy prepared or easily put together.

I thought of you, and you, and you, my friends, and I could feel you cheering me on. I knew it would be ok if i 'gave in' but I also knew that I'd feel a whole lot better if i kept on truckin'.

You all travel with me now. And this path of health and well being is paved with little victories and bright blessings. thank you for being here. love to all, Janet
