Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Just had the worst night of my life:(

My 22 yo daughter was supposed to be coming home from London yesterday by train. Rang her mobile several times during the day to find out which train she would be getting, but it just went straight to answerphone. Waited and waited, last train arrived, no daughter...

1 a.m. in the morning, no way of contacting her...rang transport police, who hadn't seen her. Rang London police (bit worried as probably going over the top and daughter had just missed last train and thoughtlessly gone home and crashed into bed, thinking she'd get train in the morning. But why no phone contact? Lost phone?  Stolen?). Police were great and promised to go round to the house she shares with 8 other students and see if she was there.

3a.m, they rang me back to say some lad had answered the door and said he'd never heard of her!

Checked the police were going to the right address (they were) and begged them to go back. They did - no-one answered the door. They said that they would try again in the morning when the day shift came on.

7a.m. Rang police to see if they'd been round. No, visit scheduled for 7.30. They'd ring me back.

9a.m -rang police again to see if any news as hadn't heard from them. They'd repeatedly tried knocking, but no-one answering and they'd keep trying and ring me with any news.

Meanwhile other daughter and me were going through any contacts we could find and ringing/emailing. Why was no-one answering us!!!!

Finally rang a friend of my daughters here in Dorset. Phone no not in use any more. Rang her mother to get new mobile number, and her mother said all suprised, 'Oh, your daughter is here, she spent the night here with Rachel. They went out together when she arrived off the train and then came back here to crash'.

I am going to KILL my daughter when she gets here! I have aged 20 years overnight and undone all the good that raw food has been doing for me over the last year!!!

You are all the lovliest bunch of people in the world!

My daughter is mortified at causing such worry. At least she'll never not contact me again (I hope)!

Yikes!!! What an experience!!! As I was reading, this sounded like a really high adrenaline, stress raising movie.

I'm so happy to hear that everything turned out so great! Kids, why don't they think to just call???

Please take the time to care for yourself now... for the whole rest of the month LOL!!!!

Sending you calming, healing (((hugs))), positive thoughts, and children proof safe and healthy affirmations!

As I was reading thru your post,  I kept saying 'oh my' does this daughter know what she is doing to her Mom?  Yes, motherhood can be so stressful,  but I was happy to hear it had a happy ending.

Yes, this is a life-changing experience!  I had it with both of my sons.  I've never left our country but both of them took to world traveling early on (I would love to also!)  10 years ago, my oldest son, then age 19, was robbed by a taxi driver in Peru on his way to Buenos Aires Argentina.  He was afraid to wait overnight for his flight and took a BUS.  He was out of touch for 5 DAYS.  I so feared I would never see him alive or know what happened to him.  5 years ago, our youngest son was stranded for several days in the Frankfort airport on his way to Capetown.  Both are fine now, but like you said, it aged me so much!  It also sure helped cut the apron strings though as I think I would have a heart attack if I didn't relax over their wanderings and not telling their mother what they're up to!

Kate, you deserve an extract shot of chlorophyll after all that stress! And when your daughter gets home, perhaps she will give you some extra love and pampering.
