Juicing and loosing weight?? Help please

Hey there everybody! I am still having a great time juicing a bit and eating more and more RAW everyday. But I have an important question. I would like to do a short juice fast for cleansing, healing, and detox. But I don't want to lose any weight really. I understand that no matter what you do your going to lose some weight, but is there any way to keep it on better? I want to juice for 21 days? And I have a friend who wants to do it with me, but she is doing it more for the weight loss, so she can't help me. I have been looking around.  Any opinions? Any help? Thanks ya'll!

Stick to lots of fruits in your juicing combonations and add some good fats to your juices e.g. avacado. Adding good fats will also keep your caloric counter higher. Remember, you will need to juice often in order to meet your daily calorie needs. -A

It actually made a lot in my opinion!  I think at least 3-4 cups!  It makes everything taste wonderful!

I juiced an entire pineapple today along with carrots and other fruits and drank it all!!!  Was so excited I got a little carried away :)  It made me so sick but then I felt great an hour later so I think it was detox!!! :)  Pineapple can't be that low calorie!! :)

Hi heather,wow thats great on ur juicing feasts.I know u said ur friend wanted to lose weight,as I do too,I was wondering do u have any weight loss juicing ideas,or recipies,or what ur friend may be doing to help her release the beast,lol.(pounds)well,I thanku for ur time:)

Hi Lyza! That's exactly what I am worried about! I am already a small person but I want to be a healthier person too, and I know this is a great way to do that, I just don't want everyone thinking I am not as healthy as I am because I am too skinny, so I'd rather try and keep it on as much as possible.


Heather! Thank you! I am thinking of going and buying one of those containers that shows how many ounces you are drinking, and try to go through several a day. And I am not diabetic so that's awesome that I should stick to mostly the fruit juice! I will also purchase some oil while I am out today too, just mix it in with the juice? Thank you!

Ok, I've done 2 juice feasts, one long 40 day one and I am in the middle of 100 days.  Here's what I would do: drink PLENTY of  juice.  5-6 quarts.  Stick to higher calorie fruit juice if you are not diabetic or with significant candida.  Add a little oil in your diet, says David Rainoshek, who literally wrote the book on juicing.  He says flax oil or coconut oil.  If you are losing too much weight, add more juice.  Try not to worry about it too much--my friend Andy did 200 days and he said after a while, the weight evened out and he stopped losing.  You can always have fun putting it back on later when the juice feast is over!

I'm curious to know this too, I'm losing weight now and am at about 6 pounds above the weight I'd like to be, and if I get too little people won't think I'm as healthy as I am feeling!!!
