I am sitting here, working on my 2nd quart of juice today. It seems like a lot to get down. Still, it's a great feeling to think of all of this super nutrition I'm putting in my body. I started the morning off...well, by the time I really got it done it was 11:30 am but it was my favorite granny smith/cucumber/celery juice. Right after that I made a beet/grapefruit/celery juice that's the one I'm working on right now. It isn't so bad really. A gorgeous color for sure.
I woke up many times during the night, feeling bloated...and just sick. From just too much of everything. I remember panicking a bit that I couldn't get enough nutrition into my system to stop me from feeling so awful...and I do not want to get sick. We are without health insurance now, at least until spring so I have to watch it. Also need to get rid of these hot flashes. It seemed crazy last night....kicking the covers off, then freezing and trying to get warm, then hot flashes and sweating and freezing again. What a crazy cycle. Hope to sleep better tonight.
We are staying warm. The outdoor wood stove seems to have a hard time keeping up with this bitter Wisconsin cold, so we have had the indoor wood cook stove running overtime. I think we may all end up sleeping in the living room tonight as the bedroom isn't staying warm at all. Sometimes it's just best to close the door and keep one room warm.
I see so many new faces on RFR .. that is so cool. We are really going to have fun in this next 11-week initiative. I am excited about another trip to The Vault. I feel really good about this next 11 weeks, because by the time it ends we will be so much closer to spring! I am spending some time going over seed catalogs, and dreaming of warm weather.
Vern didn't want to start a vehicle up today with the cold weather, so he brought a load of hay over with the tractor that we unloaded for the horses. Then he and Bridger drove the tractor back to the farm and they took the x-country skis along and skied back. Tomorrow we will run in for groceries, and I'll stock up on juice making supplies. Wish I could get to a store that had kale or collards or something, but ours never carries that. Some day we'll get to a bigger town for a treat and get some cool things.
Well, that's all the excitement around here...just thought I'd post but there's just not a lot going on. Hugs to you all, we are going to have a fun 11 weeks coming up!
