Juice Feast Day 32: Juicing at the Ball Park

Today, I had another new experience - juicng at the Ball Park. Some friends had invited us to go with them to watch our local minor league team, the Air Hogs, play. I left for the Ball Park with four quarts of juice, two green, and two carrot/pear/cinnamon. My friend thought smelling their hot dogs was going to be a major temptation for me; but since I very seldom eat something like a hot dog under any conditions, it was no problem at all. The mustard smelled good to me though. I played that same witness game that I used at my daughter's house. I just enjoyed the smell of the food. when I would walk past one of the stands, I would just take a deep breath of the popcorn, hot dogs, or whatever the booth was selling. during the game, I walked twice around the park.

I was very excited when I stepped on the scale this morning as once again, the weight had moved down . . . by another 2 lbs.! So I am down from 214.5 to 194.5 in 30 days. NOT bad! I only have one other pair of jeans in the house that I cannot wear, and they are a size 14. Trust me, I am very pleased. I look at my self in the mirror and say, "the nightmare is over."

My son who is having the financial crisis has decided to apply to the Dallas school district as a teacher, through the alternative certification program. There is only ONE more day left to apply! Tuesday is the deadline, and with Monday being Memorial Day, everything will be closed on Monday. They want official resumes in hand - and that is an issue, because he has to get his master's degree transcript from Nevada. The undergraduate degree he could go over and pick up from Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth.

I am allowing myself a cup of vegetable broth tonight, as I wanted something warm to eat. I know it's not juicing . . . but it seems, to me, a pretty harmless addition.

This has been my third day on the juices from produce I expected would not be reactive in any way. Tomorrow I will test something new. Maybe a Bell pepper. That would be tasty with lettuce and celery or cucumber, along with a touch of lemon and onion.

I've made the choice - today I'm doing beets.  And ginger.  I LOVE the combo of beets, apple, lime or lemon and ginger.  It is absolute ambrosia! I almost got myself in trouble today - because I left the house early and didn't get back until 1 PM and had had NO juice yet.  I was very faint and lightheaded by the time I got home, and I expect my blood sugar was way too low.  Must NOT do that again!

You are doing great! I like red bell pepper with romaine or spinach, celery, cucumber, garlic, onion, lemon or lime, and a lots of fresh tomatoes for a sweetness...topped off with sea salt, pepper and cayenne! It's sort of like a V-8!
