So its been quiet awhile since ive been on here i think the last time i posted was when i announced i was pregnant after 18 months trying to conceive. I had alot of health problems during my pregnancy which started from th every beginning I had pregnancy induced hypertension which caused my baby to be smaller and me to have constant migraines. 15 weeks i was sent from maternity ward in the hospital from my check up to emergancy where i spent 9 hours being monitored then sent home on blood pressure medication, which never did a thing! my blood pressure continued to be high then in January when i was 25 weeks i developed a kidney stone/infection which was caused by high blood pressure (the doctors think) which was bad timing it happened while at a concert (i was sitting in a corperate box and started getting a severe pain in my back) i was ment to fly home the next morning but spent 4 nights in hospital. My blood pressure somehow corrected itself we all thought it was all the pain killers i was on to bring it down but it stayed down for almost 2 months! Then it went super super high i ended up having to be monitored twice a week at the hospital then 33 weeks i developed protein in my urine and went in for a 24 hour urine collection which turned into a 4 night stay constant fetal monitoring and scans on the baby, they relised my baby wasnt growing on time i had steriods for her lungs they were preparing me to deliver her at 34 weeks but instead they uped my visits to 4 weekly! twice weekly scans to see if baby was putting on weight and to check her blood flow and twice weekly ctg monitoring, at 36 weeks i was told she weighed 5 pound 120z so she had only put on a pound since 33 weeks she was still measuring behind i was 36 weeks pregnant and baby was measuring 33 weeks, they decided to induce at 38 weeks but i went for a scan at 37 weeks 3 days this was a thursday (april 5th) and my blood pressure was high they said we will induce on monday we were at my partners work to tell him boss he will be off on monday when they rang and said they looked at babys scan and her blood flow isnt good they want to induce asap so we went and had lunch last minute packing and at 1:30 headed to the hospital by 2pm i was being checked and was 1cm dilated my midwife stretched me to 2cm and broke my waters she gave me 2 hours to go into labour myself or they were starting the drugs, by 4 i wasnt in labour i didnt even have a single contraction so i went to a labour and delivery room to be hooked up to an IV with medicine to get things going, still my body wasnt reacting to the medicine, every hour they had to up the amount of medicine in my IV, it was maxed before anything was even happening, by 9 30 i was in labour and contractions were strong and painful, by 10 30pm i was 5cm and was in so much pain but i wanted to see how long i could go before having any pain relief, my contractions were 2 minutes apart and 45-50 seconds long, by 12am i was 7cm  i asked for the gas which has NO effect at all, the contractions were the same amount of pain and then after the contraction i was dizzy and feeling sick, i did vomit on the gas and it was a discusting green if we ever have another baby i will not get the gas again, they checked me again at 3am and i was STILL 7cm so i asked for the epidural because i thought wow ive been 7cm for over 3 hours and this pain is almost unbearable! They attempted to put the epidural in 4 times before they were successful by the time it was in it was almost 4 am and it didnt cover the entire area i felt the pain so i had to roll onto my left side and it eventually numbed the area, then i got contractions in my thighs it was so weird! but atleast i knew when to push! they checked me imedialtly after the epidural was in place and i was 10 cm!!!! they said they will wait for an hour before pushing. It was time to push and babys heartrate went from 140 down to 58! the midwife had to call a dr who was at home in bed in  and i had 5 other people in 1 was a baby dr and the rest normal doctors they got the c section room ready and just as the dr they called in walked in i had pushed her out! i was so relieved i didnt have to have a c section! so at 4 59am good friday! 6th april 2012 My beautiful daughter Emmi Jade Haberfield was born weighing 5 pound 14oz and 18 inches long she was perfect! and totally worth everything i had been through she is now 3 weeks old and weighs 7 pound and starting to grow into newborn clothing we are so inlove! and the other day we got professional photos done so waiting for those which hopefully we get back tomorrow!
