Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

I had my first appointment with my Naturopath. I have found someone who will help keep me on the track to healing my body, thru raw and whole foods. I was so happy to find a supportive person. I was warned by some people that a Naturopath will just try to sell supplements. Well I did buy supplements, and actually less than I buy at the drug store. My ND told me she will work in conjunction with my MD and Endocrinologist. I left so empowered. I actually feel, after all of these years that I can heal my body, rather than treat the symptoms.

Some suggestions I was given

As many raw and whole foods as possible, organic if possible.

Avoid. gluten, artifical sweeteners, sugar and processed foods, If consuming dairy or meats, get organic. Fish only wild caught.

Drink more that half your weight in ounces of water daily. So if you weight 200 lbs you should be taking in at least 100 ounces of filtered water. (our organs are the first body parts to dehydrate, inlcuding brain, this makes me wonder about depression?)

Rest for 10 minutes during the day (to me that is take 10 minutes, close my office door and pray/ meditate)

Exercise daily at least 30 minutes

Get outdoors as much as possible, at least 30 minutes daily.

Proper amount of sleep

No negativity, start the day out on good thoughts and if you have to, avoid being around people who bring you down.

Take detox baths once a week, with 3 cup of cider vinegar or 1 cup of baking soda. Not hot but warm.

Listen to your body symptoms are your body's way of communicating to you something is amiss.

Prayer or meditation

Smile Smile Smile

"Life is a journey, not a destination".

UPDATE

My Natuopath suggested I "raw juice" for two days of the week.

I love this woman. We think alike and now I have an advocate working to help me regain my health ! I have been blessed today.

I had a love affair (as in, I loved how she took care of my health, my whole being, as a whole, not in pieces!) with my naturopath......she has since moved away after ten yers of treatment with her. Awwwww!..she changed my life so immensly.

I just started with a new one and I am anticipating the most awesome next part of my health journey! He has alot of supplements but I will let him know what I want...not what he thinks I need to swallow for pills. he is cool. Hoooray for naturos!!!

Cici I have the list at home. Vit D and the B's as I am defc in those and my endo recommended them but I was purchasing the wrong ones ;( She also recommended a multi and a supplement for my thyroid and adrenals. I feel so blessed to meet her. I have another issue to work on but she feels these are important to heal first, Cici, not nosy at all.
