Real Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

Hi friends ~

Just had to share this - so excited!  Today I offered a Green Smoothie tasting bar after church during our usual 'hosptality' time when the customary fare is coffee and processed junk (well you know what I mean right?).

Two friends and I, assisted by my son and his girlfriend, fired up our Vitamixes and served small tasting cups of

1 savory and 1 fruity smoothie. Well, we had 'em lined up and coming back for 2nds and 3rds!  People were curious,  we answered  the questions..'how do you get your protein' 'and what's in this?' about a dozen times , and we had a BLAST!!

My Vitamix was on the fritz, the power  cord stopped working and the water faucet wouldn't turn off - but that did not dissuade us - we kept on rawkin' and had a wonderful time.

We'll do this again, and make batches ahead of time since our public kind of mobbed us - we had no idea how popular this would be.

This is not your 'grandmas' coffee hour ;-) a true paradigm shift and I feel so grateful to have been the drop in the pond that is creating this ripple in my spiritual community - wowza!!

love & blessings to you all.

CHEERS!!

Here's a photo that Mary took of me and her hubby, Jay, serving up the Green Goodness at church!

I printed up a 1 page poster with  'simple steps to a delicious green smoothie' and put that on the counter next to a basket of fruit, greens& chia seeds. We also down the ingredients for each of our smoothies that went out on the trays with the tasting cups.

Congratulations, Janet!  You are just what hospitality time at church needs to give it nutritional balance and healthy inspiration.  The five of you had to have been very impressive to draw them in for the first sample.  Have fun with your next green smoothie contribution.  Perhaps you can hand each person a small copy of the recipes you are serving.  Every little nudge helps  : )  Love & Blessings to you also.
