Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Hi Everyone, I need some help/advice. I am on day 48 of my juice feast and have loss 50lbs. I am 44 years old, 6'1" and now weigh 159lbs. All the people (family and friends) around me are concerned for my health. They think I have lose too much weight. This is the type of email my wife is getting from our friends.... "HE LOOKS GAUNT AND BORDERLINE SKELETAL. HIS CLOTHES ARE HANGING ON HIM. ...SEEING HIM TODAY WAS SHOCKING. WE ARE TRULY CONCERNED." Although it has been about 10 years since my last fast, I have done many different cleanses and have a great deal of knowledge and experience.
I am not sure what to do or say. Although I really appreciate the concerns I just wish they would just let it go.

Comment by Brandon DePol on August 7, 2012 at 12:32pm Thanks everyone. I never really set a time line for how long I planned to go with this juice feast. I have tried to explain to my family and friends how great this feast is for you but I could almost see my word go right through them. It is hard to explain how good something like this can be good for you to people who consume both dairy and meat and believe it is necessary for good health. I am, however, planning to end my cleanse within the next week or so.
I will be posting a picture in the next couple of days. Talk with you soon and thanks again.
Comment by Maria on August 6, 2012 at 11:41am I don't know how long you intend to fast? Have you set a date? If you feel fine maybe you could give your family some info on juice fasting and how it works? I'm not really good at BMI so I don't know if your current weight is in the "normal" spectrum or not. People tend to get these kind of reactions when they loose weight quickly regardless of the method. And as stated before maybe get some clothes that fits your new lighter self?
Rest assured that your body is casting off toxins right now. You will regain some of that weight after the juicefeast. Perhaps, your body is telling you that you have completed your juicefeast. I suggest checking out what they have to say on www.juicefeasting.com
Comment by Janet Carol Ryan on August 4, 2012 at 10:55am I agree with what Maria has expressed here. I am one who has released over 50 pounds (gradually) and I now wear clothes that are of a size I haven't even considered since high school! Wearing clothes that fit me well enhances my enjoyment of my new shape (thanks to raw and exercise) and no one ever has said that I have crossed a line. I eat intuitively and sometimes have more of an appetite than at other times and I sort of just go with it. All that I eat is raw and I eat as much as I want. It works for me. sending you good energy for your journey!
