Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
I have been checking out YouTube all weekend and I have to say that people are SO creative!!!!! The picture is a hanging plastic bottle garden a guy posted on YT. Amazing creativity and a great way to use those plastic bottles that will never break down :( If you want to see the video just type in the title of my blog post in the search field at YT. Once you watch his video you'll then see a ton of others to view with the same topic.
I also watched some videos about geminating seeds using papertowels and a plastic ziploc bag. WOW!
This weekend I put a bunch of seeds in their mini green houses & spoke to them nicely encouraging them to germinate :) Oh and one of the videos I watched gave me a GREAT idea of what to do with those plastic containers berries come in. She was using them as mini greenhouses to help germinate her seeds. SO SO Creative!!! I pulled the one I just threw away out of the trash and immediately filled it with organic dirt and some lettuce seeds I just purchased.
And I just bought some wire "window" baskets w/coconut liners on clearance for $2.50/ea!!!! Oh em gee!!! I'm going back and getting more then I'm calling my honey-do friend to modify one of my railings to fit them .. or maybe he can drill holes in the brackets so I can close them tighter.
I also bought a shepherd's hook since I bought some round hanging wire waskets w/coconut liners. I am SO buying a TON more to stick in my ground throughout my back yard. It's going to be so beautiful in my back/side yard this year. As I stamped/pushed in that shepherd's hook with ease I was happy I could use my excess weight FOR GOOD!!!! :)
Today has been a WONDERFUL day. I hope this weather lasts through May (as Spring should). I am really enjoying it. Well, except for the wasps that keep trying to come in my house ;)
Have a Great Day everyone.

Comment by Mae Jardine on April 9, 2012 at 9:24am I saw this on YouTube last year and forgot about it till your reminder today. Thank You, Jennifer. We have a terrible deer invasion problem with outside gardens. This is something I should consider experimenting.
