Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Hello Everyone - I am starting my 3rd week of my 90 day raw food detox/cleanse here in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. As many of you know, detoxing can be physically and emotionally uncomfortable. But is is oh so worth it.
I got off to a rough start....not because of the wonderful program here but because the week before I left for Jamaica I got bit by an American Brown Tick. As a result of the bite I got pretty sick. The doctor that was treating the bite site wanted me to postpone the trip....but she also knew that I am a very determined woman and that it would take more than this to stop me. I did feel well enough to fly but was pretty beat when I got here (not to mention that going through Jamaican customs was a fiasco). But, I made it and the transformation continues.
My favorite part of the program so far is the coconut oil detox. My first round was three days which included coconut oil and coconut in all of its forms and glory. I released 9 lbs of toxins in that 3 day period. I am releasing so many toxins that even my white sock have turned yellow. Bring it!!!!
Thank for letting me share this journey with you and I'll keep you updated.

The power of coconut! It is one of my favorite ways to self care! Happy time to you and feel better!!!
Comment by Debi on July 15, 2012 at 7:08am Linda, congrats on all that you are doing. I'm sorry about the tick bite as well but totally agree with Penni, this is the best thing you can do to heal. Hope you are really enjoying Jamaica. That was my home for nearly 15 years. I often miss being there but I'm so happy for where my life journey has taken me. And yes, customs can be a real treat! I have many stories to tell including one where a friend of mine recovered his confiscated ham from the chief customs officers house. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures and your progress on your cleanse.
Comment by Penni on July 15, 2012 at 5:52am I am soooooo excited that you're going to be keeping us updated and I'm glad you know you arrived safely and that all is going well. I hate to hear that about the tick bite -but I have to say that what you're doing is the absolute best way to heal, build your immune system and release any lingering poison from that nasty tick.
I hope you'll have time to check in with us often, Linda!!!
