Your heartburn/acid reflux will go away by itself because of the non aggressive food you will be eating (sorry: drinking). 

If not.... before you go to bed one tea spoon of baking soda in a small glass of water helps.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!! Do any of you have ideas on how to cut heartburn/acid reflux while doing this?
