Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would meet wonderful people from around the world that would change my life and become dear friends, and all via the internet, I don't think I would have believed them. Even just five years ago. But we live in such amazing times! You just never know when someone will cross your path that has the power to do just that- change your life.
The people in your household may not understand what you are going through, or even at your place of work or in your circle of friends in your community, but if you are willing to reach out and be open, it is amazing who is out there with the potential to enrich your life in unbelievable ways.
As I sit and reflect at this moment over the loss of someone special, whom I had never even gotten the chance to meet face to face and how we became instant fast friends, and the way she touched my life, I am also reminded of all the other people that I have had the pleasure to get to know that still grace my life. Even people who may not still be in touch with me at this moment but who may have unselfishly reached out to me in a time of need with words of encouragement and hope when I both needed it and had none. Those people are equally as special to me and I want them to somehow know that.
They say that friends enter your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime. You just never know which one they might be, but they are all equally a gift.
Penni and Susan, Raw Food Rehab, the original guinea pigs and many a rehabber after that, have touched my life in unexplainable ways and I am so incredibly grateful to you all! You can never know how much the words shared here and the acts of kindness have meant to me. I can only hope that I can repay this kindness as well as pay it forward.
All I can say is be open and be willing to share of yourself, reach out to others in kindness and sincerity and you will be duly rewarded. It is the law of the universe.
To all of you that have crossed my path and even to those that are reading these words of mine for the first time, I say to you, I am humbled with gratitude.
