Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Wow! So excited! I am at day 87 and only three more days till I finish my 90 day detox and begin my next 90 plan, got some great additions to my plan and I believe I will rock the house before it is over with and reach my goal.
Just talked with my Body builder friend yesterday and he is helping me tweek my plan. So very thankful for the guidance. It really is true that when the student is ready the teacher arrives, and surprisingly it was not who I thought it would be at all. Funny how God works things out for us. He directs us on the path we are to take and places the people in front of us he wants us to follow the lead on. All of my mentors are strong christian people. Love them to pieces! Men and women of integrity! I could not ask for better quality leadership. Very greatful for that because now days, good integrity is not always easy to find.
But as my friend pointed out, alot of it has to do with the people you hang out with. Birds of a feather do in fact flock together. We tend to gravitate towards like minded people.
We also get the love we think we deserve, sadly this is also true, and some choose the low road rather than the high road. It truely is a choice though. I really don't know how to build a person up who has low self esteem. It is tough. If they are motivated I know how to help them but I don't know how you inplant that motivation or self-esteem.
I believe it has to do with how a person is raised. My parents valued me and I value my children. They know there worth. They still make mistakes but they know that they are valued. Even now, my 22 year old knows if push comes to shove she can come to me and I will help her in anyway I can. I am thankful that she feels comfortable to come to me. She does not always come to me, I have seen her suffer and it breaks my heart but when she really gets to a breaking point she will come home. This must be how God sees us, we often stray away and we endure alot of pain but sometimes it is that pain that actually brings us back to him and on our knees asking for his guidance and help again.
At any rate, I am thankful for my children, they are my biggest blessing in life. I love them more than anything else in this world.People are the most important in life, stuff is just stuff. While it is nice to have stuff sometimes and we do need certain things to survive, honestly, we really don't need a bunch of stuff. We need the basic needs which is food, shelter and safety. All the rest is just fluff.
Have a great Friday! I am so excited, my daughter and I are going to Art walk this evening. So fun! Meeting a friend of mine and it is going to be a fun fall weekend. We are going to go shopping for a couple of outfits for her to have senior pictures taken in on Saturday so it will be a fun mother daughter weekend.:o)
