I notice after I have the biocranial adjustments that I feel sleepy for a few days after. That is what I am feeling. Also worked till mid-night last night and always feel sleepy the next day.
However, I do feel relaxed and like it is my body taking some healing time. Just going with it for now. Then I will go back to routine of exercise. Sometimes I think it is important to realize when the body really does need extra rest. I am normally a go , go kind of person but not the last couple of days.
I know that stress is a key factor in depression and diesease so anything we can do to lower our stress should be done.
The reason that stress causes depression is because it increases cortisol levels and that in turn lowers saritonin. It also affects insulin and can make regulating sugar levels more difficult. Interesting how the body works sometimes. Knowing these things can actually help to avoid these unpleasant reactions in the body. Very important to do things that help lower cortisol each day such as light exercise or even just enjoying nature and taking a little time for ones self to do something you enjoy doing.
I personally have found that food is very key to regulating moods. Amazing what eating healthy foods can do for the body so that it works properly.However it is not a cure all and as I mentioned above, exeercise and dong things we enjoy are very important as well.
I also think the spiritual component is very key for me. Knowing that God is in control and realizing that worry does not help at all, it only steals joy and peace from your day and solves nothing.
So having a relaxed day, plan on working on stuff for our garage sale for tomorrow an embracing my life by praising God for my blessings. No exercise today, going to take it easy and not stress out over goals not met. Life is not always perfect, but it is always a blessing.
