Raw Food Rehab

So far I've made it through a weekend of company (yep, still raw). Everyone thought the raw food was great. I made a few things for non-raw friends but the best part was that the raw foods came out on top. High Raw Life Michelle's "Peanut" dipping sauce made a big hit ...I hardly had to wash the dish!!! I also served raw banana ice cream with raw chocolate sauce and a raw sunflower onion dip that got rave reviews.

Now I'm on my first raw work trip (I travel a lot for my job). I love my very portable nutribullet-great for EVERYTHING especially traveling. I've got a motel fridge full of veggies, fruit, raw hummus and"peanut" sauce. I also brought a bag filled with dehydrated goodies: flax crackers, sweet potato and beet chips, and Almond butter cookies. I can make my juice in the motel room and tote a salad with raw dressing for lunch. I hope it will make it easier to resist all the the tempting "on location" foods.

My scale says I've lost 4 lbs. (really?!?!) and have had NO heartburn (a fairly regular problem).

Travel is a great opportunity to do it your way. I love Joe Cross with his juicer plugged into the boot of his car. You're doing great too in RAWgust. Your creativity will get a real boost as well on the road!
