Hi Friends!

I had a great, raw day today, just veggie juices and chia pudding. Fun! I made chocolate flavored pudding for the first time, using raw cocoa powder -- it was good! I may like the vanilla more though. Never thought I'd prefer a non-chocolate item. Ha!

I'm getting increasingly excited about the juice detox, even though I am nervous. I'm revisiting my health goals and realizing that eating lots of heavy raw foods each day may not be what I need right now. I will try one meal a day for now, hopefully "upgrading" too 100% juice at some point during the month. I think my body needs it and my cravings are convincing me otherwise.

I'm enjoying making healthier choices: green cleaning supplies, switching my lotion to shea butter, things like that. I'm definitely more aware of chemicals and the like.

I started reading two books:
A Course in Miracles and Add More ~ing to Your Life: a Hip Guide to Happiness. I want to incorporate these spiritual books into my detox.

Please pray for me that I get to the gym tomorrow! I truly want to exercise this month! I need to move and sweat more. I don't know why it is so challenging to get there...it is literally a block from my apartment!

Whether you'll be detoxing or not, I'm so happy that we'll all be embarking on another month in our raw journeys. These are exciting times!

I prefer exercising at home myself.  I don't have the excuse of bad weather keeping me home, low on gas, etc.  My goal is to buy a DDR pad (yes I know those are outdated, but I love DDR!) and do me some dancing/cardio.

Hi Emily...If making it to the gym just isn't feasible...you have tons of options!!!! Don't let not making it to the gym get you down or make you feel defeated!!!!  Dance in your living room...jump up and down...play Wii if you have it....Dance your butt off to rock and roll or whatever you prefer...Scrub your kitchen floor on hands and knees...Clean some closets...rearrange the furniture....It's all about making it fun and keeping you smiling and that doesn't leave a single inch for excuses or why nots!!!!!  If you have cable t.v. , there are probably tons of exercise channels on demand or clean your house really good and bend and stretch while your doing it....add in a few leg lifts, squats etc....do squats while your doing the dishes or folding laundry...fit it in your day any way you can....seems crazy but every little bit helps....Mix it up...make it up...whatever keeps that smile on your face!!!!  Go for it....no stress allowed...This is a get fit and toned fun zone with lots of giggles and smiles!!!!  RAWK ON GIRL!!!!  :)

Speaking from experience (!), it's sometimes hard to get started, but once you do, it feels SO good...

So feel free to imagine me on your other side, goin' to da gym! (Bonus:  it will be warm in there!)
