I had a great, raw day today, just veggie juices and chia pudding. Fun! I made chocolate flavored pudding for the first time, using raw cocoa powder -- it was good! I may like the vanilla more though. Never thought I'd prefer a non-chocolate item. Ha!
I'm getting increasingly excited about the juice detox, even though I am nervous. I'm revisiting my health goals and realizing that eating lots of heavy raw foods each day may not be what I need right now. I will try one meal a day for now, hopefully "upgrading" too 100% juice at some point during the month. I think my body needs it and my cravings are convincing me otherwise.
I'm enjoying making healthier choices: green cleaning supplies, switching my lotion to shea butter, things like that. I'm definitely more aware of chemicals and the like.
I started reading two books:
A Course in Miracles and Add More ~ing to Your Life: a Hip Guide to Happiness. I want to incorporate these spiritual books into my detox.
Please pray for me that I get to the gym tomorrow! I truly want to exercise this month! I need to move and sweat more. I don't know why it is so challenging to get there...it is literally a block from my apartment!
Whether you'll be detoxing or not, I'm so happy that we'll all be embarking on another month in our raw journeys. These are exciting times!
