Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Day 2 of my 'back to raw and yoga' plan

Did a fierce Sadie Nardini core yoga workout this morning (from 'Udemy') - last time I did this I really felt it in all of my limbs and particularly my abs for days! Took it a bit gentler today, as I want to be comfortable enough to work out again tomorrow. It makes me feel so stretched and alive - like having an internal massage!

Breakfast today was the most delicious freshly-squeezed OJ smoothie with mango, blueberries and green matcha.

For lunch, I made the best coleslaw ever - grated carrot, finely sliced red cabbage and Pak Choi (Bok Choy?) and diced red pepper, with cashew mayo (cashews, garlic, lemon juice, omega-3 rich oil and a little water. Deeelish.

Peppermint tea afterwards with a very small square of organic orange and geranium dark chocolate that my ex-husband gave me for Christmas (shame to waste it).

I've got four precious days off work. It's bliss to have some time to myself after the stress of Christmas. Why does the bulk of it (present buying, cleaning, decorating, food) always seem to fall on women's shoulders? All that pressure to make Christmas a wonderful time for everyone from the very old to the very young. The weight of all those expectations! And you still have to go to work as well and perform 100% there! I'm not grumbling really, it was a lovely warm family time. Just a bit knackering. Feel so rested today, and back to centre - Lovely raw food, and lovely yoga! Should be prescribed on the National Health for stressed out mothers/wives/daughters!

Tonight, I'll dust my juicer off and make a pineapple juice smoothie - just bought a huge ripe one this morning that was being sold off cheap. Yay.  Pineapple will be juiced, then put in the blender with avo, lime and spinach. Yum.

Right, off for a brisk, chilly, damp walk along the lake into town to see my father. Have a relaxing and healthy day, folks!
