Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
I just came back from life drawing class - it's very challenging to draw the human figure - and I devoured 3 cups of canteloupe juice. It's so delicious, and we've read that it's bursting with nutrients.
It's day 14 of our fast, and we're hoping to make it to 21 days. This is our first juice fast since the 80's (and we only went a day!), so we're really happy with our progress.
It also feels like it's the beginning of something new. When we go through a barrier, like we have with the juice fasting, changes happen that we aren't aware of until later. Transformations are happening, consciousness is shifting, the body is healing is ways that we'll never know, except that we just feel better. We're already talking about doing more fasts during the year.
Two days ago on my birthday, we were lying on the little town beach, soaking up the sun (such deliciousness here in the North), and I felt a deep love, and a peacefulness that permeated every cell of my body. This was a true celebration of life.
The bay was filled with sailboats and kayakers, and the San Juan Islands shimmered in the sun. Everyone was quiet and calm. There seemed to be something that permeated everything and everyone... a gift from the Creator - it was palpable - one of those moments that go deep into the heart.

Comment by Janet Doane on September 4, 2012 at 6:04pm We're not at this time thinking of extending the fast past 21 days, although once we get there, we may want to. When we first started, on the first couple of days, we were musing about a long fast - 30 days or more. Or what would it be like to do a 92 juice feast, like Penni. But as the days pass we are feeling like 21 days will be good. It's been really positive, and this so important. Thanks for asking. :-)
Janet,
Are you thinking that perhaps you may extend past 21 days? It sounds like you have been healthier for years. Although I ate 'good and healthy' food, I ate plenty of crap too....thank you for the well wishes, that made me smile:)
Comment by Janet Doane on September 4, 2012 at 3:27pm Hi dear Rawlyssa, you are so sweet to share your thoughts with me, and I wish you all the best in your juice feasting experience!!! I have found that raw food greatly increases the ability to be in tune... for me, it's been one of the gifts of this way of life. I'll think about you next time I make canteloupe juice. :-)
Janet,
I too love canteloupe juice....and watermelon juice. I am on day 4 of my JF and excited to be on this road again. It sounds like you are much more in tune with your whole being. Fabulous!!
