So here it is, late in the afternoon of Day 1 of the Raw Star Initiative. I found myself with a yen for some fresh vegetables and thought about juicing them for an afternoon energy booster.

But the thought of pulling out out the 'ol juicer was a bit daunting. I wavered back and forth for a few moments when it suddenly occurred to me that I could go low-tech and simply have a plate of raw carrot and celery sticks. Duh! :)

So I washed the veggies, peeled the carrots, sliced and arranged them on a plate and had the perfect late-afternoon summer snack.

Sometimes simple is where it's at!

Darlene, that's so true! The blender is like it's own little car-wash when it comes time to clean it!

Speaking of cleaning juicers, I've been on the lookout for a juicer that is quick to clean and works really well. After watching Kristen Suzanne's video and reading the RFR posts, I've gone ahead and ordered the Hurom. Yay, I hope it's a winner!

I'll third that trend with Green Smoothies for sure. Love juice as well but the blender is much easier to clean. LOLOLOL and then any kind of fruit.
