Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Well I finally did it and ordered some Chia seeds!! I'm slowly buying the necessities to fill my pantry because money is quite tight. I'm SO GLAD I got chia! I'm actually amazed. I made a green smoothie this morning and I'm still full. Wow! This never happens. I know the nutritional value in chia seeds is amazing so I'm happy to start incorporating them into my diet. I plan on adding them on top of a salad later this evening.
So how much chia seeds to you actually have a day? Just what you can? A set amount each day? I soaked a tablespoon of the seeds in about 1/4 cup of water for about 30 minutes before putting it into my smoothie and blending. I'm hoping this was the way to go.
On another note, I'm so motivated to keep going! :) When I first started eating raw I think I got a little overwhelmed and discouraged. I was mad at myself for not eating more raw and eating less SAD foods. I was beating myself up constantly. Now, I realize that this is MY JOURNEY, and I'm improving my health along the way. I can go as slow or as fast as I need to. I can do my best and continue to try to do more. Why didn't I take this as a positive thing before? It was only what I wasn't doing. I've always been hard on myself and I need to stop. I've been this way for as long as I can remember. Now that I'm aware of it I'm changing. It feels great!
Signing up for Go FRESH was huge for me. I'm joining the Vault and the Weight Room. I can't wait! I'm ready to dive into the physical, mental, and spiritual paths that I will find. I'm ready for the knowledge, support, and friendships that are about to come.
Today is a good day.
