Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Today was one of those days that got away from me. I didn't have time to properly prepare last night, so this morning I was rushing around packing my daughter's lunches & snacks, and trying to pack my own as well. (They can't be the same - her camp is nut-free and my diet is nuts aplenty.)
I usually take a green smoothie to have in the morning as my mid-morning snack. Didn't have time to whip one up, so I took a bottle of rejuvelac instead. Had a lunch meeting today - - it was at a Vietnamese restaurant. I had a tofu & veggie stir fry over rice noodles, not horrible by SAD standards, but still enough carbs & cooked to make me drowsy in the afternoon, which led to the coffee . . .
Anyway, I was feeling a little bummed, but reminded myself:
1. I AM in transition.
2. My goal isn't to be 100% raw anyway. I'm shooting for 75% right now.
3. I did have fruit for breakfast, I drank a big rejuvelac all morning, and I had a big organic peach for my afternoon snack.
4. Garlic zucchini chips and apple crackers awaited me in the dehydrator for my return home.
And now I'm going to do my chopping and prepping and soaking and all that jazz so that I'm not caught short tomorrow morning.
