Today is simply a beautiful breezy and sunny day--not too hot or humid. The bluejays have arrived and are starting to make noise. I'm finally realizing the truth of drinking lemon water first thing. It cleans out the system and gets it ready for new food. I am really enjoying the way *I* smell because of the food I am intaking!!
I walked outside today and was so delighted that my herb garden has started to take off vigorously--the plants that went to seed last year are now raising their faces to the sun. And the mint . . . oh the mint!!! Three kinds and soon there will be an abundance of the lovely herb.
I admit I am addicted to mint and ginger. When my mint is in season, I drink it every single day--all day long--in smoothies and in lemon/lime ades. It brightens up the taste of everything. Today, I am having lemon/lime-raspberry-mint juice--blended up with great ceremony in the Vitamix. The result is a nice frosty and frothy drink which just sends shivers to my toes! I also make the same concoction with blackberries. Keeps me hydrated and happy as I'm working out. YUM!
Feeling lighter, brighter and more energetic. It's a good thing as I have lots of work to do today to prepare for my trip to Boston tomorrow. I purchased a Tribest blender to take on the road when I travel and this will be the second time I get to try it out. Have to pack it in my luggage along with some goodies like chia and spirulina. Wonder if I can take some fresh greens along? Won't that be something for TSA?!!
