Hi, my name is Patricia and I am still a cooked food addict... as I'm not willing to live with that label, I continue transitioning to a raw foods lifestyle... I only lost .6 lbs. this last week... so, am in process of assessing the changes I need to make... what works and what doesn't... not discouraged at all... the quality and longevity of my life depends on this.
Not eating after 5:00 p.m. is now part of my raw foods lifestyle... my intention is that when I do eat after 5:00, it be as early as possible, as infrequently as possible... watched so many of Paul Nison's videos on YouTube that by the time I got his book, I wasn't in the mood to read it... think it's time to see what he says regarding the next step.
My new 21-day initiative is (drum-roll):
For 21 days, I will not go to any coffee-house by myself and if I go with someone else, I will drink only water or caffeine-free tea (which I don't care for) with no sweetener. I have been going to coffee houses for 15 years, often twice a day... half of the pleasure is in the ritual (they know me by name and what I drink, after all) and half is the mega amounts of sugar in the drinks I like... when first trying to figure out what my next 21-day initiative would be, I didn't think I could give up my coffee-house ambiance and sugar fix, but now I know I'm ready.
