Raw Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

I took some yoga classes, for the first time in my life,  at the Woodstock Fruit Festival this summer.  I was introduced to the idea that our thoughts come and go, but are not the real us.  I am captivated by this "thought".

If I am the observer of my thoughts and emotions, perhaps I can look at the maze of my daily circumstances, reactions, fears, joys, and problems from a safer, wider perspective. I rarely spend time with the observer in me, but I do know her. I once named her the "Peaceful Madonna" inside me that I would be one day in heaven. She is loving, knowing, wise, peaceful, happy, appreciative, sees the gift in everything, is beautiful, gentle, and enjoys life.

I am just now realizing that she is the real me.  The forever me. This awareness is going to change my life.

Happy Day S!

A long time ago I had a friend who practised Raja Yoga with open eye meditation and so on. He said to me one time .... life is like a drama up on a stage -you can decide how much you want to get caught up in it -another perspective!

I love how you called this part of you "the forever me." I think of this awareness as the one who watches me going through my life. I forget about her for long periods of time, I must admit!
