Real Food Rehab

No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!

So as I have read that it only takes 28 days to make an unbreakable habit, my new years resolution was to make 1 simlpe change every month to transition towards a healthier lifestyle, I had only just discovered raw foods, and had had a small epiphany. 

So i posted on here, and got a ton of amazing ideas for each months change- and thought I would let you know how I am getting on :)

So the first months change was green smoothies. I cannot explain how much of a difference they made, (with the exception of spirulina, which is RANK!) mainly in my skin and they also really helped regulate my sugar cravings, which has made some of the following changes much more achievable. 

February I decided to start doing Yoga, and went to a hot yoga studio for a couple of months (before they increased the prices) 

March I focused on how much water I was drinking, another great one, and something so simple that is so easy to forget, but makes such a difference when done right!

April I looked at healthy snacking, and discovered the joys of making flax crackers and protein bars- I don't even own a food processor so that was a fun one to work out! 

This month was looking at how much sleep I get, and trying to get a bit more of it! 


I have had a great few months, and feel all the better for it. I have also turned vegetarian (although I still have fish about once a week) and have also made a large effort to decrease my dairy intake. AND i eat a hell of a lot of salad now! 

I also write a blog, which has been a great motivator to keep me going, there is no way I would have got round to the flax crackers and protein bars if I hadn't got the blog to show off on! I am now having a month to re-focus on the 5 changes I made, and really cement them into my lifestyle, before I start the second half of the year.

Any other suggestions welcome :) and I would urge anyone transitioning to have a go at this method, its so simple and takes a lot of the pressure off as you only have to focus on one thing every month!

You are the second one who brought this idea to me today, so I will try it out.
5 days left to decide which habit to choose for the first month.
Perhaps I will start with the green smoothies as well.

And now I print out a form for my filofax where I can check off the days, yay!

wow that's a brilliant idea!  28 days takes alot of will power so that is really well done!  I might have to think up one to do next month!
