Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
It's day 6 and I can't believe how great I feel. Except all I get from friends and family is "ohh no vegan, what are you going to eat?" or "what's Sam going to eat? Is he doing it too? I can't see him ever doing that with you" (about my fiance)
I don't even bother to tell them it's RAW Vegan - seems like Vegan is bad enough.
So sick of this negativity .
Sam's mum was vegan for 2 years and this is what she wrote to me in the email when I told her.
"Vegan and eating out is a challenge. G*** and V***** tried it but gave up ..not that it affected G***'s longevity.
Book a Vegan restaurant for sam's bday- A***** likes to try different things and put up with me for a few years being vegan.
I truly noticed no difference in my body as a Vegan and it made choosing from a menu difficult.
I do think though being a vegetarian and a bit of a fitness person has kept me more well than many of my cousins and friends.. but then my dad was a very healthy man and died because of lots of heriditary diseases....
Life is a journey and all about learning ..Hx"
She just thinks it's a faze I'm going through as I will just realise its easier to eat seafood , eggs and dairy to please other people and I will just go back to that.
But it does upset me a bit as after 14 years of going between vegerarian and piscetarian I feel like I'm finally ready for this and now I'm doing it for completely different reasons.
Amazing thing was this week, for two days I wasn't organised enough to have my freshly squeezed green juice and I was actually really craving it.
Today has been a pretty good day except I ate too many Pine Nuts and Cashews also a little too much of my home made raw chocolate .
I really feel like just having freshly squeezed juices , green smoothies and salads all next week. I also just really hope my 80/10/10 book arrives in time for the plane ride to Thailand!
One of our friends is coming over from NZ tomorrow to stay with us for a few weeks until he finds a place for him and Helena...and the only thing is he is the MOST unhealthy person I know by far.
Starts the morning with a double shot coffee with full cream milk, followed by cigarettes and a fast food chain breakfast, lunch and dinner are also take aways or packet meals.
We don't even have milk in the house what interesting hosts we will be!!

I found the 80 10 10 book very interesting and have been mostly eating this way. One eats about 2/3 fruit, I would say, since it is recommended for breakfast and lunch. I'm not 100% strict and will eat other things but there is usually a way to go at least in this direction even when eating out.
